Joshua Walsh is an experienced executive whose career spans aerospace, defense, manufacturing, government, and military leadership. He has led large-scale organizations and complex business portfolios through periods of significant growth and transformation, with executive responsibility for operations, strategy, major programs, customer relationships, organizational performance, and P&L results.
Prior to establishing North Mountain Advisors, Joshua served as Vice President at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), where he led one of the company's largest and most strategically important business portfolios. During his tenure, the organization achieved significant revenue growth, expanded its workforce, strengthened operational execution, and built a substantial long-term backlog supporting critical aerospace and national security missions.
Before entering industry, Joshua served for more than twenty years as a commissioned U.S. Army officer. His career included leadership assignments in Field Artillery, Military Intelligence, and the Army Acquisition Corps, as well as operational deployments supporting Joint Endeavor, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom. He led organizations and complex acquisition, intelligence, operational, and strategic initiatives in demanding environments.
